I asked ChatGPT to tell me my dream life and what it said made me cry.
Is it really that simple? All I've got to do is follow the schedule it gave?
Another day, another example of how TikTok has changed my life.
I’ve been seeing all over the social media platform lately of people actually giving ChatGPT prompts to write out their dream lives and what they needed to do to get there. Trying out this experiment on myself, I got amazing results that I can’t wait to share with you. Below you’ll find the exact prompts I used and the exact words ChatGPT churned out within seconds—word for word (it wouldn’t be very nice to gatekeep this, when it can literally change your life for the better).
Before we continue further, it would mean a lot to me if you subscribed to my publication.
Now let’s get on with it!
Here is the first prompt I used, in italics:
Write out a story of my dream life based on this list of things I would like to achieve: [insert your own list of things]
- time to read and write on my publication which earns me an income
- have digital products make sales every day for me
- healthy and fit with regular Pilates
- happy and healthy mindset and emotions
- time with my family (kids, husband), including cooking and planning more meaningful activities & experiences together
- if needed, a career that i actually like doing but doesn't take more than 4 hours a day Monday to Friday
This was ChatGPT’s reply, which made me have to compose myself for a minute before even getting to the end of it:
In your dream life, every morning begins with sunlight spilling gently through your bedroom window, inviting you to ease into a peaceful, inspiring day. You start your morning by focusing on yourself: a Pilates session in the quiet, early hours. This has become a cherished ritual—time that strengthens your body and clears your mind, helping you stay healthy and feel strong for the rest of the day.
After Pilates, you slip into your favorite cozy spot with a cup of coffee and open up your laptop, eager to write. This is your time to dive into your thoughts, ideas, and insights for your publication—a venture that brings in a steady income, allowing you to share your voice and connect with readers who eagerly await each new piece. This isn’t work; it’s a passion you get to indulge in and one that rewards you emotionally and financially. You take time to read others’ work as well, exploring fresh perspectives and adding richness to your own craft.
As you go about your day, your digital products quietly generate sales, bringing a comforting sense of ease and fulfillment. You’ve put in the work to create something valuable, and now it works for you, providing a daily income stream and freeing you from financial stress.
By late morning or early afternoon, you shift into any remaining career work, but only for a few focused hours. It’s something you genuinely enjoy—an activity that energizes you rather than drains you, and it fits smoothly into your lifestyle. The best part is that you close your laptop after four hours, with your evening free and your mind unburdened.
Afternoons and evenings are family time, the highlight of your day. You gather around the kitchen, trying out new recipes or working together on a familiar family favorite. This cooking time is more than just making a meal; it’s about sharing, laughing, and teaching your kids new skills while making memories. Once you’ve finished eating together, the evenings are often dedicated to something special you’ve planned: a cozy movie night at home, an outdoor adventure, a fun project, or even a family book night. These are the experiences that bring you all closer, creating a foundation of love and joy that your kids will carry with them.
Your mindset and emotions are steady, resilient, and happy, the result of the balance you’ve created. This life allows you to be present, purposeful, and connected—not only with others but also with yourself. Each day ends with you feeling fulfilled, grateful, and excited to wake up and do it all again, knowing you’ve crafted a life that nurtures your body, mind, family, and soul.
OK, I’m not sure how I feel about Pilates first thing in the morning. I usually do it better at 4pm, if I even do it at all. Also, it’s not exactly practical that my kids and I cook together because they’re at school during that time. But nothing stops me from doing it myself!
I then asked ChatGPT what I needed to do to get there:
What do I need to do every day in order to achieve this dream life?
The response that you’re not ready for:
Creating this dream life is about consistent, intentional actions and setting boundaries to protect your time and energy. Here’s a daily plan to help you build the habits and routines that align with your goals:
1. Morning Routine for Health and Focus
Start with Pilates (20–30 minutes): Begin each day with a Pilates session to ground yourself and boost energy. Pilates will help you feel strong, flexible, and centered.
Mindfulness or Gratitude Practice (5–10 minutes): Incorporate a brief meditation or gratitude journaling to cultivate a positive mindset, set intentions, and prepare for the day with clarity.
2. Dedicated Writing & Reading Time (1–2 hours)
Prioritize Writing for Your Publication: Make this time sacred. Focus on creating content for your publication without distractions. Aim to finish a small, achievable goal each day—whether it's drafting an outline, writing a paragraph, or editing.
Time to Read and Learn: After writing, dedicate time to read articles, books, or other resources that inspire and enhance your work, adding depth to your voice and style.
3. Check on Digital Products & Marketing (15–30 minutes)
Review Sales & Analytics: Check your digital product sales to see what’s working and where you could improve.
Optimize Marketing: Spend a few minutes daily on subtle promotions or answering customer questions. Simple, consistent engagement keeps momentum going without consuming much of your time.
4. Career Work Block (if needed) – 4 hours max
Focus on High-Value Tasks Only: Work on things that genuinely add value, grow your skills, or bring in income. Keep this time focused and resist adding extra hours. Use productivity techniques, like time-blocking, to stay efficient and wrap up when your block is complete.
5. Afternoon Reset for Family Time
Wind Down Work and Transition to Family Time: Mentally and physically step away from work. Consider a quick walk or a moment of silence to refresh and switch into “family mode” with a clear mind.
Involve Kids and Spouse in Dinner Prep: Engage in cooking as a family activity, inviting your kids to help prepare meals. This is a chance to create fun routines, share stories, and build new traditions.
6. Plan or Enjoy Family Activities Together
Make Time for Meaningful Experiences: Each evening, spend quality time together, whether it’s a relaxed movie night, an outdoor activity, or a creative project. Even simple daily experiences strengthen bonds.
Plan for the Next Activity: Every few days, set aside time with your family to brainstorm and plan upcoming activities, ensuring you have shared goals to look forward to.
7. Evening Reflection and Relaxation (15–20 minutes)
Reflect on Wins and Set Intentions: Before bed, jot down what went well, what you’re grateful for, and your intentions for tomorrow. This maintains your positive mindset and allows you to celebrate small wins.
Unwind & Prioritize Sleep: Finally, get a restful night’s sleep by unplugging and winding down with a calming activity, like reading or stretching.
Other Key Tips
Set Boundaries Around Work Time: Limit distractions, delegate or automate where possible, and keep personal and work time separate.
Automate Your Digital Product Sales: Set up automated email marketing, sales funnels, or social media scheduling to keep your digital sales active with minimal daily effort.
Consistently Reassess and Adapt: As you go along, review what’s working and make small adjustments to stay on track.
This daily approach will help you cultivate the balance you envision, gradually building a sustainable routine that supports your dream life. The key is consistency, boundaries, and focusing on quality time over quantity in each area of your life.
I took it one step further, by asking ChatGPT to give me 10 affirmations that would make me feel like this dream was achievable:
Write 10 affirmations that remind me of this dream life and that it’s achievable.

While I can probably refine my prompts further, like include friends in the picture and time for leisure or shopping, I think this first draft is pretty amazing.
Is this it? Should I just go ahead and do what it says I need to do to achieve my dream life? Should I start tomorrow?
