France Photo Diaries: Part 2 - Lyon Unfiltered
A brief encounter with wild swans, spring blooms, bookstores and the BEST pain au chocolat in all of Rhône.
The one thing that Lyon has which Singapore doesn’t is good weather. In my dictionary, this is weather that is good enough for going out and enjoying nature without the humidity, mosquitoes, heat and random torrential rain that makes you want to retreat after just being exposed for 5 forever minutes.
Every open florist has me yearning to buy all their plants because I know they aren’t going to be wilted by Day 5. If I lived there, I would want to invest in an entire picnic set—basket, cutlery, cups, table and all. Who knows, I might even advocate for actual camping with an actual tent.
The city itself is quite walkable, as long as there aren’t strikes. During this trip there were none, and because we stayed at family’s close to the city center, I was able to walk downtown one fine afternoon.
It was simply lovely.

I can’t wait to be back. Thank goodness our next trip to Lyon is just 2 months away!
